Through a wide-ranging programme of initiatives, we met students and recent graduates, shared knowledge and experience, and introduced them to our Group’s activities and people. We also discussed the skills shaping the future of work and the career opportunities available in the energy sector.
Contributing to the dialogue on the future of work
From 27 to 29 March 2026, we participated in the Panorama of Entrepreneurship and Career Development at the Athens Concert Hall. Over the course of three days, executives from HELLENiQ ENERGY and the Group’s companies engaged with the younger generation, took part in panel discussions and shared knowledge and experience on developments in the energy sector and today’s career paths.
Discussions focused on topics of relevance to young professionals, including the connection between digital experience and mobility, adaptability in today’s workplace, the value of lifelong learning, the combination of different skills, and the essential importance of health and safety.
Our presence at the event’s booth also gave us the opportunity to meet participants, answer their questions and introduce the Group’s philosophy, values and activities. Colleagues from HELLENiQ ENERGY, HELLENiQ Petroleum, EKO, HELLENiQ Renewables and Enerwave shared knowledge, experience and practical advice with young people preparing to take their first professional steps.
Meeting young people as they plan their next steps
In April, our participation in career days and career guidance initiatives brought us even closer to students and recent graduates.
We met students from the MBA and MSc in Marketing & Communications programmes at the Athens University of Economics and Business and discussed different career paths, the skills currently sought by the market and the opportunities available in the energy sector.
As part of the same month’s activities, we also participated as a Gold Sponsor in the “Jump into the Future” Career Day, organised by the School of Mechanical Engineering of the National Technical University of Athens at the Eugenides Foundation, with the participation of our executives and a corporate presentation.
Every meeting is an opportunity for open dialogue. We listen to the expectations and concerns of the younger generation, present the real challenges facing the sector and contribute to a more comprehensive understanding of today’s workplace.
Welcoming the next generation to our facilities
Our engagement with academia continued in May, when we welcomed students from the School of Chemical Engineering of the National Technical University of Athens to our Elefsina Industrial Facilities. The visit offered them the opportunity to experience a modern industrial environment first-hand, connect their academic knowledge with real-world practice and engage with our people about the demands and opportunities within the sector.
During the same period, we also welcomed participants from the MSc in Human Resource Management programme at the Athens University of Economics and Business and from Pennsylvania State University to our Aspropyrgos Industrial Facilities. The visit enabled participants to experience the workplace directly and learn more about different aspects of the Group’s operations.
Our activities in May also included our participation in the BEST Patras Student Association Career Day and the National Technical University of Athens Career Day.
Through these visits and meetings, we establish a meaningful channel of communication with young scientists and create opportunities to connect academic knowledge with real-world professional applications.
Connecting academic knowledge with real-world challenges
Our partnership with the Athens University of Economics and Business continued in June through presentations, case studies and the evaluation of student projects.
As part of the MSc in Digital Transformation, our executives participated in the evaluation of student presentations focused on user experience application design. Similarly, through our collaboration with the MSc in Marketing & Communications, case studies relating to sales management, as well as the customer journey and customer experience, were presented and evaluated.
These initiatives gave students the opportunity to work on real business challenges, present their proposals to Group executives and receive feedback informed by market experience.
For us, engaging in academia goes beyond participating in events. We aim to build lasting partnerships that bring theory closer to practice, encourage the exchange of knowledge and give young people the opportunity to test their ideas in a real-world professional setting.
We remain committed to investing in the younger generation and strengthening our ties with academia. Through open dialogue, collaboration and a consistent presence, we create the conditions for more young people to approach their professional future with knowledge, experience and confidence.
