Our long-term strategic ambition is to reduce the carbon footprint across all our activities and achieve climate neutrality, positioning us as leaders in the energy transition in the Eastern Mediterranean.

A landmark project for energy transformation

The photovoltaic park of HELLENiQ ENERGY in Kozani, boasting a total capacity of 204 MW, is a landmark project for renewables’ development in Greece. The park is estimated to generate 350 GWh of energy annually, capable of supplying zero-emission clean energy to 75,000 households. This results in an annual carbon benefit of over 90,000 tons. The total investment exceeds 130 million euros, significantly benefiting the local economy of Western Macedonia.

Following the addition of a second 110 MW photovoltaic park, the total installed photovoltaic capacity in the Kozani region now amounts to 314 MW.

Photovoltaics
  • 2 photovoltaic clusters with a total capacity of 314 MW (204 MW + 110 MW) in Kozani, Greece.
  • 30 photovoltaic plants with a total capacity of 40 MW in Greece.
  • 8 photovoltaic plants with a total capacity of 41 MW in Cyprus. 
  • A 12 MW photovoltaic plant at the premises of OKTA AD Skopje in Republic of North Macedonia.
  • 4 photovoltaic parks with total capacity of 211 MW,  in Romania.
  • A 123 MW ready-to-build hybrid photovoltaic park in Bulgaria.

Wind Farms
  • 5 wind farms with a total capacity of 99 MW, located in Mani, Evia and Messinia. 
  • Strengthening our presence in Romania through an agreement to acquire a 186 MW wind project paired with a 186 MW / 186 MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) and a 96 MW wind farm, which will commence commercial operations in 2027.
  • An agreement to acquire a 186 MW wind farm, in Romania.

Energy Storage
  • Securing support for five Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), with a total capacity of 150 MW / 400 MWh.
  • Commissioning of the first battery energy storage project at the Thessaloniki Industrial Facilities, comprising three stations with a total capacity of 100 MW and storage capacity of 200 MWh.

A New Era in Electricity Storage

At the Thessaloniki Industrial Facilities, we completed one of Southeastern Europe’s largest battery energy storage systems. The facility can store, each day, an amount of energy equivalent to the full charging needs of approximately 3,000 electric vehicles, enabling more efficient use of renewable energy and greater power system flexibility.
