Sotiris Kapellos
Dr. Kapellos is CEO of HELLENiQ Renewables. He joined HELLENiQ ENERGY in 2010.

He is a chemist and holds a PhD in Physical Chemistry from the University of Athens.
He served as an executive at BP Hellas (1993–2010), holding senior management positions, and as Managing Director of BP Solar Hellas.
Since 2010, he has been working as a senior executive within HELLENiQ ENERGY in the Renewable Energy sector, focusing on the development, construction, and operation of the Group’s portfolio of renewable energy and energy storage projects, with the strategic objective of reaching 2 GW by 2030 in Greece and Southeast Europe.
He also plays an active institutional role in the sector: he served for many years as President of HELAPCO (Hellenic Association of Photovoltaic Companies), and since 2026 he is Vice President of H.A.E.S.S (Hellenic Association of Energy Storage Systems), as well as Chairman of the Energy Committee of the Hellenic-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry since 2021.
